No.85 伯方島の開山公園（ひらきやまこうえん）

瀬戸内海の島々を渡り、本州と四国をつなぐしまなみ海道。そのしまなみ海道の伯方島の開山山頂付近にある開山公園の展望デッキからは、瀬戸内海の島々やそこに架かる橋のほか、四国や中国山地まで見渡すことができる、しまなみ海道でも随一の景観を誇ります。駐車場から500mほど歩きますが展望デッキからの眺めがお勧めです。特に1000本の桜が開花する時期や、ツツジの時期はとてもきれいです。

伯方島の隣りの島の大島にあります標高307.8mの亀老山展望公園からの眺望で、来島海峡大橋と来島海峡の潮流を眺め見ることができる好眺望ポイントです。しまなみ海道の大島南インターの近くから入る道があり、そこから車で約10分とアクセスも至便です。特に夕焼け時には素晴らしい景観を見せてくれます。

No.90 瓶ヶ森林道（UFOライン）の東黒森登山口駐車場

UFOラインの正式名称は瓶ヶ森林道（かめがもりりんどう）で、四国中央部の山脈の尾根を走る訳27kmの舗装林道で、東黒森駐車場からは尾根沿いを伝う道の景観を堪能することができます。なお、未確認飛行物体が多く見られることからUFOラインと名付けられたそうなので、UFOにさらわれないようにご注意を。

断崖に打ちつける太平洋の荒波と、白い波しぶき、そして、真っ青な海と、定番な景観ながら迫力があり、また、展望台からはアーチ状の地平線が見えて、地球が丸いことを実感できるほどスケールが大きい場所です。白亜の足摺岬展望台がお勧めですが、天狗の鼻展望台も好景観です。近くの白沢洞門も奇勝で見栄えがあります。ただし、足摺岬自体の場所が遠いです。

四国の西南地区にあります周囲4kmの島で、周囲ではバイクで行ける舟が浮かんで見えるほどに透明感の高いエメラルドグリーンの海絶景が見れます。橋を渡っていけるのも魅力的です。また、真っ白な砂浜の白浜海岸や、太平洋が一望できます大堂山展望台もお勧めです。ただし、やはり場所が遠くて、観光客の方も多いです。
