今回、ツーリングをする前に少しこれに乗って、「これで日帰り北海道ツーリングをしたら面白いかも」と、本気で思ったほど特に高速走行が楽しいバイクです。津軽海峡フェリーの時刻が合わず残念ながら日帰り北海道ツーリングは断念したものの、高速を快適に走れるVストロームシリーズや、パレートハンドルのGSX-R1000Rと違って、高速でスポーツ走行する楽しさを味わえるバイクです。
怒涛のパワー（148PS）と高速走行に適した形状のスクリーンとカウル。そして、操作しやすいアップハンドルを相まって、移動のための単調な走行になりがちな高速走行を楽しく走れるバイクです。また、下道では、太いトルクを使って、中高速コーナーなら2速や3速だけで軽い車体を加速させながら走れるので、シフト操作が少なく疲れがたまりづらいです。意外と足つき性もよく、軽くて取り回しもしやすいです。そのせいか、気が付けば1日で700km以上も走っていたのには驚きました。
スーパースポーツバイクに乗っているが、そろそろ楽なバイクに乗り換えたい方、スーパースポーツバイクに乗りたいけどもっぱらツーリングユースのライダーには、特にお勧めのバイクです。
よく規制に対応できたな～と思うくらいコンパクトな4-2-1のマフラー。腹下からいい音を奏でます。ベースエンジンは、世界選手権や鈴鹿8耐、JSBも制したことのあるGSX-R1000のK5～K8世代のエンジンで、レースに勝つために創られた強力なエンジンをストリート用にチューニングし、148PSものハイパワーながら街中でもアクセルワークがしやすく走りやすくなっています。
